Banana Ice Cream

It is amazing how freezing a banana transforms this humble, ordinary fruit into something spectacular! It becomes a delicious “ice cream” dessert kids will love and moms are happy to scoop into a bowl. Banana ice cream is my summertime secret weapon. Here’s how to make it in two simple steps...

Step 1: Peel & slice a banana and place in freezer-friendly container. Freeze for 6+ hours.

Step 2: Place frozen banana in food processor and blend. It will transition from a crumbly texture to smooth. Variation pictured below is with an added spoonful of peanut butter and a few chocolate chips – a favorite at my house! Feel free to add other fun flavors to the basic banana ice cream recipe.
